The Project
A pharma company wanted to set up a personalized nutrition project for individuals with Psoriasis as part of their innovation arm, but was not clear on how to go about this, and what this would entail.
We were contracted to work on the project alongside the in-house team.
Key results:
- Creation of a Personalised systems nutrition approach for specific target group of patients living with Psoriasis;
- Identification of suitable partners;
- Identification of suitable partners;
- Development of programme document;
- Data analysis and final report writing of project.
The Approach
We conducted an initial assessment of the outcomes the client wanted to achieve. We then co-created a detailed project plan including resources, partners, practitioners that would be needed and set out milestones for each stage.
We designed project protocol and wrote a detailed guide on which data points would be collected and reasoning with full scientific references.

The Impact
The project was completed within 18 months, on time, and on budget. We analysed the data, summarized the findings in a written report and presented the highlights of the project together with recommendations for future actions.
The company still uses the guide developed during the project.

The Project

First we brainstormed ideas on how we could meet the goal to obtain a deep understanding of both users and end-users. We adopted a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative research with innovative quantitative consumer research methods.
We assembled a lean and agile team by partnering with a company in our ecosystem to deliver the project. The final project plan was approved by the client.

The Outcome
The project took 8 weeks to complete from start to finish. We uncovered novel insights on both the consumer and end-user level. These findings were used to develop a 10-week digital consumer study which has been published in JMIR (2022)
The Impact
The project was delivered 50% faster and at a lower cost than using traditional mixed-method approaches. The company has pivoted towards doing more research in the real-world setting with industry stakeholders.
The client has retained us for strategy and consultancy services.

Mixfit is a unique cutting edge personalized nutrition solution, that provides a personalized beverage delivered via a table top device composed of a protein, vitamin and mineral mix, based on the specific and daily needs, goals and lifestyle of each individual user.

We are working on developing partnerships with Personalised nutrition & digital health startups to increase market reach for their brands. This project is ongoing.
